No data transmission using the Internet is absolutely secure. While OwnDriver uses commercially reasonable efforts to protect your information, OwnDriver cannot warrant the security of such information, nor can we guarantee that information you provide us using the Internet will not be unlawfully intercepted.
Types of information collected and used. OwnDriver may collect two types of information about its users: Personal Information and Aggregate Data. Personal, or personally identifiable information, consists of information you provide OwnDriver. Typically you may be asked to complete online forms that include your name, age, gender, email address, physical street address or phone number. Only with your permission, OwnDriver may use this information to contact you about OwnDriver Mission Related events or content. OwnDriver may also request additional information in the future.
Personal Information. OwnDriver typically requests Personal Information when you request OwnDriver materials, inquire about volunteer opportunities, request OwnDriver’s electronic newsletter, register with OwnDriver’s website, donate or become a member. OwnDriver may also request information when you participate in discussion forums, inquire about your local chapter, sign up for OwnDriver’s action alerts and other similar activities. OwnDriver ONLY obtains the Personal Information you choose to provide. In an effort to keep your information current, OwnDriver may contact you in the future electronically, by email, or telephone. You may always choose to opt out of any future communication.
OwnDriver collects, processes and stores your information in the Canada. OwnDriver does not sell your email address to other businesses or organizations for their general use. On occasion, you may receive an email relating to OwnDriver's mission from third-party service providers acting on OwnDriver's behalf and at OwnDriver's request. For example, we may release Personal Information to such third-party service providers to advise you of our upcoming events, products, volunteer opportunities, fundraising or cause related marketing opportunities. Aggregate Data. Standard web server/visitor traffic information is commonly referred to as "Aggregate Data". Aggregate Data is automatically collected by web servers as part of their basic web log processes. OwnDriver does not report on individual user sessions. When you visit the website, OwnDriver automatically collects Aggregate Data about your visit. OwnDriver collects Aggregate Data to help OwnDriver improve its website and enhance your overall experience. Aggregate Data is anonymous in nature and not Personally Identifiable Information. Aggregate Data includes statistics such as which web pages are most visited, time spend on each page, third-party links clicked, the number of visits per page the type of browser used.
Security. In order to prevent unauthorized access and protect your Personal Information, OwnDriver uses commercially reasonable physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the Personal Information you provide. Such security safeguards are intended to be appropriate to the sensitivity of the Personal Information collected. For example, OwnDriver employs internal access controls to ensure that the only parties who see your information are those with a need to do so in order to perform their official duties. OwnDriver also uses technical controls to secure the information that we collect online, including but not limited to the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL), encryption, firewalls, and password protections.
